 Civil War Historian
« Result #1 on Dec 10, 2009, 12:25am »

It looks like the Civil war historian is no more and Jen may have been one of the last people to submit an article. I finally got a chance to read it and I thought it was great. Well done Jen. It is unfortunate that the magazine is not going to be around any more it had some great articles and research on a variety of topics.

And Jen is there a part two to the arms of the 49th article?

Since Zoar is bi-annually, the Otterville event will be Sep 17-19 2010.

Thanks, Janet

Jen,

Tim Warnick is doing something in June at Fort Erie as well. I'll try to locate the dates and send them to you.

Events 2010 - the ongoing list
« Result #6 on Nov 11, 2009, 8:00pm »

In order to help folks plan the year, here is an "in progress" list of events in 2010. I'll try to keep it to events that are in Ontario, nearby states, or that are of especial interest to CGAR. If you know of any events, please post them e-mail them to me, PM me here, or post them on this thread and I'll occasionally add them to the main list.

Bold indicates at CGAR encouraged event.

May 1,2 Fort Niagara, Lewiston, NY School of the Skirmisher (Tentative?) (Mike Lavis posting in Yahoo Groups)

May ? CW Event, Greenfield Village (Henry Ford Museum) Dearborn MI,

June 12 - 13 Fenian Raids (Battle of Ridgeway), Old Fort Erie, ON

June ? Wildwood, ON

July 17-18 Mumford, NY (Tentative?)

August ? Milton, ON

Sept 17 - 19 Otterville

 Material for Sale
« Result #7 on Nov 5, 2009, 12:12pm »

If anyone is looking for a winter project, I have some very good canton flannel for sale. At least 3 yards+ width about 59". Pre-washed, the perfect material for period drawers. Great for those colder spring and fall events. $18.00 takes it, +shipping or maybe I can deliver.
